Notification for Six-Week Certificate Course in Sports Coaching

The Sports Authority of India (SAI), Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), Patiala, invites online applications for the Six-Week Certificate Course in Sports Coaching. This program, conducted under the Mass Sports Participation Programme, will be held from 6th May 2025 to 2nd July 2025.

Important Dates:

• Application Start Date: 20th March 2025 (Thursday)

• Last Date for Application Submission & Fee Deposit: 14th April 2025 (Monday)

• Assessment of Applications: 1st April 2025 to 14th April 2025

• Publication of Selection List: 16th April 2025 (Wednesday)

• Fee Deposit Duration: 16th April 2025 to 2nd May 2025

• Online Classes: 6th May 2025 to 2nd June 2025

• Theory Examination: 6th June 2025 (Friday)

• Theory Exam Results: 17th June 2025 (Tuesday)

• Physical Reporting & Practical Classes (Group 01): 16th June 2025 to 2nd July 2025

• Practical Examination (Group 01): 30th June 2025 to 1st July 2025

• Certificate Award Ceremony (Group 01): 2nd July 2025 (Wednesday)

• Admitted Student Strength for Groups: Depends on the number of applicants

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• Minimum 10+2 pass (12th pass) from a recognized board.

Sports Achievements: Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

1. Minimum 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in:

   • Inter-School District Championship Tournament

   • Inter-College/University Championship/Tournament

   • Any championship/tournament conducted by the District Association of the relevant sport.

2. Participation in State Championships, All India Inter-University, or Zonal Inter-University tournaments.

3. Participation in School Nationals, SGFI, or Junior/Senior National Championships conducted by a recognized Sports Federation.

4. Participation at Junior or Senior International level.

Age Limit:

• Applicants must be between 20 to 42 years as of 14th April 2025.

• Age Relaxation: Up to five years for SC/ST/OBC and North-East region candidates.

Course Commencement:

• Duration: Six Weeks from 16th June 2025.

Requirements for Selected Candidates:

1. Playing Kit: Participants must bring their own sports equipment and clothing for personal use.

2. Uniform: Required items include warm-up shoes, game shoes, white socks, vests, T-shirts, shorts, track lowers/trousers (for female candidates), and tracksuits.

3. Sports Equipment: Candidates must bring their own sports equipment relevant to their game/sport.

4. Clothing: Participants must bring their own bedding and other necessary clothing.

Rejection of Application:

Applications will be rejected if:

• Documents are not uploaded properly.

• Application fee is not paid.
